Ikinari Steak Sets GUINNESS WORLD RECORD™ of Serving Most Beef Steaks in 24 Hours

TOKYO, Nov. 07, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Ikinari Steak set a Guinness World Record title of serving the most beef-steaks within 24 hours in a restaurant. This record was made at Ikinari Steak Shinagawa Seaside Forest location in Tokyo, Japan on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018. The restaurant opened for business as usual at 11 a.m. to a line of 200 guests waiting outside despite inclement weather. Service ended at 11 p.m. with a total of 1734 steaks sold that day – successfully setting the Guinness World Record and receiving verification from an onsite Official Guinness World Records Judge.

Ikinari Steak is owned by a Japanese restaurant group Pepper Food Service Co Ltd, and is known for offering “super thick” high-quality cuts of meat in a quick and economical fashion. Pepper Food Service opened Ikinari Steak in Tokyo in December 2013 and now has 320 locations throughout Japan and 10 locations in New York.
