Media Advisory – Largest New Year’s Polar Bear Dip in GTA will break records this year

TORONTO, Dec. 29, 2015 /CNW/ –

WHAT: A festive New Year tradition and Canada’s largest charity dip, the Courage Polar Bear Dip returns for its 31st annual event on New Year’s Day 2016.  This year is on track to be the biggest year yet, with almost 1,000 dippers and thousands of spectators expected to cheer them on.  

This is the largest and oldest charity Polar Bear Dip in Canada, and the largest dip in the GTA by far. The Courage Polar Bear dip is in support of World Vision’s clean water programs. This year they are expecting to raise more than $120,000 for clean water in Rwanda, which would bring the total raised by this dip to $1.4 million.
