NEW YORK, April 17, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Amalgamated Bank (Nasdaq: AMAL), today announced that, due to the public health and safety concerns related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and based upon orders and guidance from Federal and New York authorities, its Annual Meeting of Stockholders (the “2020 Annual Meeting”) will now be held by means of a virtual-only format.
The 2020 Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at 9:00 a.m., Eastern Time, as disclosed in Amalgamated’s proxy statement for the meeting. Online access to the meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m., Eastern Time. Stockholders will not be able to attend the meeting in person. If stockholders plan to attend the meeting virtually, they should periodically check the “Investor Relations – News and Events” tab on our corporate website, www.amalgamatedbank.com, for updates prior to the meeting date.As always, whether or not stockholders plan to attend the 2020 Annual Meeting, they are encouraged to vote their shares prior to the meeting.
