(NASDAQ: CAR) (the “Company”) announced today that, due to the public health impact of the coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19) and to prioritize the health and well-being of our employees, shareholders and community, the Company’s 2020 Annual Meeting of Shareholders (the “Meeting”) has been changed from an in-person meeting to a virtual format only.
Virtual Meeting Information for Our ShareholdersThe Meeting will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. (Eastern Time), as disclosed in the proxy statement filed by the Company with the Securities and Exchange Commission on March 27, 2020. You will not be able to attend the Meeting physically in person. We encourage you to access the Meeting prior to the start time and allow sufficient time to log into the Meeting. Shareholders at the close of business on March 25, 2020 (the “Record Date”) are entitled to virtually attend the Meeting. Please note that the proxy card included with the proxy materials previously distributed will not be updated to reflect the change in location and may continue to be used to vote your shares in connection with the Meeting.We have designed the format of the virtual Meeting to provide shareholders with the same ability to participate that they would have at an in-person meeting.
