Information for Customers Affected by Fort McMurray Wildfires

Scotiabank understands that these wildfires are impacting the community and each person differently and that’s why we are committed to work with our customers individually during this difficult time.

Insurance Canada is committed to supporting our personal and small business creditor insurance customers who have been impacted by the wildfires in and around Fort McMurray. We are working with our partners to ensure customers have the awareness and ability, to submit a claim in a simplified and expedited manner. Any customers enquiring about their creditor insurance policy or submitting a claim should contact 1-855-753-4272.

Scotiabank is supporting the relief efforts with a $100,000 donation to the Canadian Red Cross. An account has been established and donations will be accepted for those affected by the wildfires at any Scotiabank branch across Canada. The campaign will run from Friday, May 6, 2016 to Monday, June 6, 2016. The funds donated will go toward the Red Cross response providing relief to wildfire victims, as well as to meet longer-term needs for affected local residents.
