NEW YORK, NEW YORK–(Marketwired – May 10, 2016) – BMO Capital Markets Chief Executive Officer Darryl White will be honored on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 as a Community Quarterback at the United Way of New York City’s 23rd Annual Gridiron Gala, recognizing the thousands of BMO employees who give to the United Way each year.
The Gridiron Gala was created to celebrate the partnership between United Way and the National Football League – the longest standing partnership between a professional sports organization and a nonprofit. For 23 years, the New York Jets and the New York Giants have come together with United Way of New York City (UWNYC) for the Gala – raising more than $27 million in support of UWNYC initiatives to empower low-income children and families living across New York City’s five boroughs.
Mr. White will be recognized at the Gala – alongside Hometown Heroes Eric Decker, New York Jets; Rashad Jennings, New York Giants; and Robert Kueppers, Partner, Sage Partners and retired United Way of New York City Board Chair – for his efforts to give back to the community. BMO is proud to be one of United Way’s most active corporate partners.
