LONGUEUIL, QUEBEC–(Marketwired – May 16, 2016) – Highland Copper Company Inc. (TSX VENTURE:HI) (the “Company”) announces that Copper Range Company (“CRC”) and the Company have agreed to extend the period to complete the acquisition of the White Pine project for a period of up to 120 days from May 6, 2016. The final closing of the acquisition is subject to releasing CRC for financial assurance and certain environmental obligations associated with the remediation and closure plan of the historical White Pine mine site in a manner that is acceptable to all parties involved, including the applicable governmental authorities. Osisko Gold Royalties Ltd has also agreed to extend the maturity date of the C$10 million loan made to the Company to June 15, 2016.
