BURNABY, BC–(Marketwired – June 03, 2016) –
Icron Technologies Corporation, a leader in USB and video extension technology, announced today that IHSE, a leading developer and manufacturer of advanced KVM extenders and matrix switch systems, will be demonstrating their award-winning high speed Draco tera compact matrix switch with integrated ExtremeUSB® 2.0 and 3.0 extension technology from Icron at InfoComm 2016 from June 8th
through June 10th at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The IHSE Draco tera compact matrix switch features an ultra-high-speed backplane to enable real-time switching of high definition video up to 4K/60, digital or analog audio, USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 signals in port sizes ranging from 8 to 80. The Draco tera enterprise series offered in ports sizes from 48 ports to 576 ports offers the same technology in an 8-slot UNI-I/O plug-in card supporting USB 3.0 and 3G-SDI formats. Other I/O cards come in a variety of port options supporting Cat5e/6/7, multi-mode fiber or single mode fiber for KVM requirements which operate alongside the UNI-I/O cards to support SFP plug-in modules for USB 3.0 or SDI.
USB 3.0 extension capability is now available from IHSE as a standard integrated offering of the Draco tera matrix switch range and includes the ExtremeUSB suite of features such as transparent USB extension, true plug and play (no software drivers required) and compatibility with all major operating systems: Windows®, OS X® and Linux®.
“Broadcast and Professional AV operators are quickly adopting SuperSpeed USB as lower cost alternatives to distribute and extend large video files over long distances in an editing studio environment,” said Dan Holland, IHSE USA’s Marketing Manager. “By integrating ExtremeUSB 3.0 technology into our Draco matrix switcher, our customers now have the option to add faster USB 3.0 data transfer in combination to their existing methods of USB 2.0 data transfer through a KVM switch.”
“With 4K content adoption, media professionals will want to take advantage of USB 3.0’s fast 5 Gbps bandwidth,” said Glenn Antonelli, Vice President of Marketing at Icron. “The integration of Icron’s ExtremeUSB 2.0 and 3.0 extension technology into the Draco tera switch ensures that users can transfer and switch video and USB signals seamlessly with unrivaled flexibility up to 100 meters and beyond, over USB’s fully specified bandwidth.”
A demonstration of IHSE Draco tera matrix switch with integrated USB 2.0 and 3.0 extension capabilities will be featured at booth C4838 from June 8th through 10th during InfoComm 2016 in Las Vegas.
