EDMONTON, AB–(Marketwired – June 22, 2016) – Melcor is pleased to announce a new mural on the north wall of our 100 St. Place building in downtown Edmonton. Created and installed by local designer Clay Lowe, it reads, “Take a risk. It’s the most Edmonton thing you can do.”
Risk-taking is one of the themes we encounter, again and again, in the origin stories of the things we love about Edmonton. We see the Edmonton story reflected in our own company history. Born in Edmonton in 1923 as a family business, Melcor has built many of our city’s communities, and as the city has grown, so have we. We wouldn’t be where we are today if our predecessors hadn’t taken risks.
That’s why we decided to partner with Make Something Edmonton to share these words of encouragement with our fellow citizens and spark a conversation about our values as a city.
We want this to be the first of many Walls of Encouragement and we challenge our fellow building owners to join us in treating empty walls as canvasses for colour and inspiration. Email [email protected] if you would like to collaborate.
Mural Location: 100 St. Place, 10150 – 100 Street, north-facing wall
