KITCHENER, ON–(Marketwired – December 12, 2016) – Brick Brewing Co. Limited (“Brick” or the “Company”) (TSX: BRB), Ontario’s largest Canadian-owned brewery, today announced listing gains for LandShark and Margaritaville.
Following the tremendous response from Ontario beer drinkers to LandShark in 2016, the Company has been successful in securing listings for LandShark in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta. Consumers in Western Canada will soon be able to enjoy LandShark in their home province. In addition, given the response to the LandShark brand in Ontario in 2016, the LCBO has approved a new listing for Margaritaville coolers. In spring of 2017, consumers will be able to pick up the Margaritaville Classic Margarita at LCBO stores across the province.
George Croft, President & Chief Executive Officer at Brick commented, “The response to LandShark in Ontario has been simply outstanding, and clearly the most successful beer launch in the province in many years. Given the success we’ve seen in the first year here in Ontario, we’re thrilled to be in position to extend the brand to Western Canada. Leveraging the strength of LandShark in other provinces was clearly our intention, and success in Ontario has given us the chance to do just that.”
“In Ontario, the LCBO is the channel of choice for Ready to Drink and cooler consumers, so gaining a listing for Margaritaville is meaningful. Our team has developed a winning recipe, one that we’re sure will resonate with Ontario cooler drinkers,” added Croft.
