Chartwell Retirement Residences Announces the Election of Directors and Other Voting Results

MISSISSAUGA, ON–(Marketwired – May 25, 2017) – Chartwell Retirement Residences (“Chartwell”) (TSX: CSH.UN) announced that the nominees listed in the management proxy circular dated March 31, 2017 were elected as trustees of Chartwell, trustees of CSH Trust, and directors of Chartwell Master Care Corporation. The detailed results of the vote (i) for the election of directors and trustees (ii) for the reappointment of KPMG LLP as auditors of Chartwell, and (iii) on an advisory resolution on executive compensation, held at Chartwell’s Annual Meeting on Wednesday May 24, 2017 in Toronto are set out below.

Each of the following three nominees proposed by management was elected as a trustee of Chartwell Retirement Residences (the “Chartwell Trustees”) as follows:

Ms. Davis was previously a partner with KPMG for over 25 years, is currently a corporate director of Gluskin Sheff + Associates Inc., and is the Chair of the Board of Directors of Women’s College Hospital Foundation. “Ann brings a breadth of experience and insight into financial oversight and audit practices.
