RALEIGH, N.C., Jan. 14, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — BMC Stock Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: BMCH) (“BMC” or the “Company”), a leading provider of diversified lumber and building materials and solutions to new construction builders and professional remodelers in the U.S., announced today key appointments to its leadership team.
Timothy Johnson has been named Executive Vice President and General Counsel, effective immediately. In this role, Mr. Johnson will report to Dave Flitman, President and CEO of BMC. He will be responsible for managing all legal matters for the Company, including corporate governance, acquisitions and litigation.

The Company also recently appointed Joyce Vonada as Chief Information Officer, effective November 8, 2018, and Gary Gross as Vice President of Pro-Remodeling, effective November 19, 2018.

About Timothy Johnson
Mr. Johnson brings over 15 years of private and corporate legal experience to BMC. Mr. Johnson comes to BMC from Ply Gem, a leading manufacturer of building products based in Cary, NC, where he served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel since 2008. Prior to joining Ply Gem, Mr. Johnson served as Vice President and Regional Counsel at Arysta LifeScience, a global agriculture company specializing in crop protection and life science brands, from 2006 to 2008. Previously, Mr. Johnson was an attorney with the international law firms of Hunton Andrews Kurth and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
Mr. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Taylor University and a Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law.
About Joyce Vonada
Ms. Vonada brings a breadth of corporate IT experience to BMC. Most recently, she served as Chief Information Officer for American Tire Distributors, one of the largest independent suppliers of tires to the replacement tire market, where she developed industry-leading data and analytics tools, rolled out enhanced business-to-business e-commerce and mobile platforms and led the optimization of the company’s supply chain by integrating systems with its manufacturer. From 2012 to 2016, she served as Chief Information Officer and Managing Director of Edens, a prominent real estate investment trust specializing in community-oriented retail shopping centers. Prior to joining Edens, she served as Senior Vice President of IT and Business Solutions at Lowe’s, where she led a team of more than 2,500 professionals and contractors. Earlier in her career, she held various senior management positions at AutoNation and worked for Accenture, a leading global IT consulting firm.
Ms. Vonada holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems from the University of Miami.
About Gary Gross
Mr. Gross has over 20 years of leadership experience at major corporations, including overseeing large managed sales and service networks, financial and strategic planning, business development and operational management. From 2000 to 2018, he held various senior leadership positions at the Lowe’s Companies, including Vice President of Services, Vice President of Installed and Special Order Sales, Vice President of Store Operations Support, Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis and Director of Strategic Planning. Mr. Gross’ accomplishments at Lowe’s include building the company’s strategic planning department, overseeing all aspects of its planning and budgeting processes, directing the rollout of store process and procedure improvements across more than 2,000 stores, and leading substantial growth in the services business. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at Budget Group and PepsiCo.
Mr. Gross holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics from Ball State University and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University.
