Brookfield Renewable Partners L.P. (TSX:BEP.UN)(NYSE:BEP) (“Brookfield Renewable“) today announced that, in connection with its recently-completed C$800 million public offering and concurrent private placement, the underwriters have exercised in full their option (the “Over-allotment Option“) to purchase an additional 1,598,250 L.P. units at a price of C$37.55 per L.P. unit.

Brookfield Renewable will receive additional aggregate gross proceeds of C$60,014,287.50 from the exercise of the Over-allotment Option. Closing of the Over-allotment Option is expected to occur on June 16, 2016.

Brookfield Asset Management Inc. has elected not to exercise its option to purchase additional L.P. units and will hold an approximate 61% interest in Brookfield Renewable following closing of the Over-allotment Option.
