Miles, Named one of the 50 World’s Greatest Leaders by Fortune Magazine, to Share how Save the Children, Celebrating its 100-Year Anniversary, Continues to Drive Progress for Children Globally
SILICON SLOPES, Utah, Feb. 12, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Today Domo (Nasdaq: DOMO) announced that Carolyn Miles, President and CEO of Save the Children, will keynote at Domopalooza 2019. Save the Children is one of the most widely recognized international non-governmental organizations and serves more than 157 million children in the U.S. and in 120 countries. Save the Children is committed to giving boys and girls a healthy start, an education and protection from harm. At Domopalooza, Miles will share how, as Save the Children celebrates its 100-year anniversary, it is adapting and continuing to drive progress for children globally.
Miles joined Save the Children in 1998, was COO from 2004-2011, and became President and CEO in September 2011. Under her leadership, the organization has more than doubled the number of children it reaches with nutrition, health, education and other programs. Miles’ signature issues include hunger, improved learning outcomes and ending preventable child deaths. In 2015, Miles was named one of the 50 World’s Greatest Leaders by Fortune magazine and was inducted into the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame.
“The profound impact that Save the Children has had is due in large part to Carolyn’s leadership and her unwavering commitment to children,” said Josh James, founder and CEO at Domo. “I’m thrilled to have her share how, as Save the Children enters its second century, it is adapting to further advance its mission of transforming lives of children everywhere.”
