TORONTO, Feb. 07, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited (“Fairfax”) (TSX: FFH and FFH.U) has completed its previously announced offering of US$85 million in aggregate principal amount of 4.142% Senior Notes due 2024 (the “Offering”).
The Senior Notes were offered through a syndicate of dealers led by RBC Capital Markets, as sole bookrunner. The Senior Notes are unsecured obligations of Fairfax and pay a fixed rate of interest of 4.142% per annum.
Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., Ltd. was the sole purchaser of the Senior Notes under the Offering. Fairfax intends to use the net proceeds of the Offering to support new business of its subsidiary business.
