HONOLULU, Jan. 30, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — First Hawaiian, Inc. (NASDAQ: FHB) (the “Company”) announced the pricing of a secondary offering of approximately 24.9 million shares of its common stock for total gross proceeds (before deducting underwriting discounts and commissions and estimated expenses) of approximately $652.6 million. The shares have been offered by an affiliate of BNP Paribas. The Company will not receive any of the proceeds from the sale of the shares by the selling stockholder. The offering is expected to close on February 1, 2019, subject to customary closing conditions.
The underwriters for the offering intend to offer the shares for sale from time to time in one or more transactions on NASDAQ, in the over-the-counter market, through negotiated transactions or otherwise at market prices prevailing at the time of sale, at prices related to prevailing market prices or at negotiated prices.
Following completion of the public offering, BNP Paribas will have fully exited its approximately 18.4% stake in the Company’s common stock.
