TORONTO, ON–(Marketwired – September 07, 2016) – 5050 Central Ltd. (the “Company”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gaming Nation Inc. (TSX VENTURE: FAN) is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Kent State University (“Kent State”), a Division 1 institution in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) of the NCAA.
The partnership will see Kent State use 5050 Central’s real-time electronic system to run 50/50 raffles at various athletic events such as football and basketball. Proceeds from each draw will support Kent State’s scholarship fund for student-athletes.
“We are thrilled to be teaming up with Gaming Nation and implementing its digital 50/50 raffle system at our athletic events,” said Kent State Deputy Athletic Director Casey Cegles. “In the ever-changing landscape of college athletics, we are always trying to discover new ways of generating revenue. In our discussions with Gaming Nation, we learned of the success others were having with this system. Not only is it being used by numerous professional teams and franchises, it has proven successful at other peer institutions in the Mid-American Conference. With a small investment up front, we will be able to generate a large ROI that will help support our student-athlete scholarship bill.”
Scott Secord, President/CEO of Gaming Nation commented, “We look forward to launching our platform with Kent State University. We have realized strong results with our existing NCAA clients and we expect Kent State to achieve the same level of success in support of the student-athlete scholarship bill.”
