CALGARY, ALBERTA–(Marketwired – Sept. 16, 2016) – Seven Generations Energy Ltd. (TSX:VII), its service providers and suppliers, capital providers, competing producers and employees, raised more than $360,000 dollars for the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation at 7G’s fourth annual golf tournament last week. Seven Generations thanks all the generous and community-minded companies, individuals and organizations for contributing to a new single-year record – and helping push this event’s total donations to nearly $1.2 million since 2013.
In just four years, at four one-day tournaments, the Grande Prairie tight natural gas industry has raised a total of nearly $1.2 million dollars for patient support and services in the Peace Country.
“This just keeps getting better and better. When we started this tournament in 2013, we never expected to have raised more than $1 million by now. Our industry has faced a challenging downturn, yet Grande Prairie’s natural gas industry and supporters remain committed to improving health care for all citizens. We are very grateful to all the tournament participants and supporters – those who partake in a fun day knowing that their generosity will have a meaningful impact in the lives of patients, families and the people of the Grande Prairie region,” said Susan Targett, 7G’s Senior Vice President.
“It is absolutely remarkable how Seven Generations along with so many service providers in the oil and gas sector have come together for another year to support health care. Even during times where we have great challenges, health care needs continue to rise, and we are so fortunate that our community members continue to support each other. We are sincerely grateful for the opportunity to work with Seven Generations and its dedicated partners in making health care a priority for our families,” said Cindy Park, Executive Director of the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation.

In a city with a population of more than 68,000, and a community outreach of about 300,000, medical needs for patients continue to increase.
