TROY, Mich., Jan. 08, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Kelly Services today announced two acquisitions: Global Technology Associates, LLC (GTA), a leading provider of engineering, technology and business consulting solutions and services in the telecommunication industry; and NextGen Global Resources, LLC (NextGen), a leading provider of telecommunications, wireless and connected technology staffing solutions in the U.S. Both companies provide services to the largest carriers and OEMs in the telecommunication industry, and the acquisitions position Kelly as one of the largest engineering workforce solutions companies in the fast-growing 5G technology space.
Terms of the acquisitions, which were effective at the start of the new year, were not disclosed. GTA and NextGen will continue to operate under their own brands.
“Acquiring NextGen and GTA represent forward-looking investments in a relatively untapped specialty market that’s primed for growth,” said George Corona, president and chief executive officer of Kelly Services. “Kelly is committed to being a specialty talent solutions and outcome-based services provider, and both firms are deeply specialized, bringing together impressive pools of talented engineers with strong technical, telecom and 5G expertise. Equally important, our businesses’ core missions and values align: we are all companies that put people at the heart of all we do, and we take integrity and service excellence seriously.”
The acquisitions expand Kelly’s presence in a niche engineering market, where there is tremendous room for growth: telecommunication industry analysts say $500 billion will be spent between now and 2025 preparing for the onset of 5G technology. Both GTA and NextGen are positioned to capitalize on that growth.
Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, GTA provides telecommunication network design, implementation, testing, optimization and software development services to its portfolio of clients.
“We are very excited to start a new chapter for GTA, as part of the Kelly team. Kelly’s commitment to its employees and customers echoes GTA’s and was the spark that led us to join forces,” said Farzad Ghassemi, founder and chairman of GTA. “Now, with Kelly’s brand recognition and size behind GTA’s technical prowess and industry knowledge, we are prepared to tackle the coming 5G and other advanced technologies’ demand for our engineering solutions and services in the telecommunications industry. Together with Kelly, we are better equipped to support our customers’ needs and help build future 5G and beyond, wireless networks by providing the highest quality of engineering solutions and services that they have come to expect from us.”
With offices in Chicago, Philadelphia, San Diego and Nashville, NextGen is a leading supplier to Fortune 500 companies providing telecommunications, wireless and connected technology staffing solutions.
“NextGen recognizes the amazing growth potential of the telecom, wireless and connected technology space, which is driving the future of technology advancement,” said Amy Moreno, president of NextGen. “Our team has consistently leveraged long-term relationships with both clients and candidates to solidify our place as a market leader of strategic staffing solutions. We’re excited to be part of the Kelly family and are confident that with Kelly’s global brand and experience as a pioneer within the staffing solutions sector, our team will continue to flourish and build on the level of excellence to which our clients have grown accustomed.”
Companies and talent both stand to benefit from the acquisitions. “Innovative technologies, combined with new ways of doing business, are creating different opportunities in today’s workplace,” Corona observed. “Kelly’s legacy is built on our ability to anticipate what’s next for job seekers and companies and proactively advise them—and the GTA and NextGen acquisitions position us to do just that.”
