Laurentian Bank of Canada (TSX:LB) (the “Bank”) announces today the closing of its previously announced equity financing having issued 2,282,000 common shares (the “Common Shares”) at .80 per Common Share for gross proceeds of 5 million (the “Offering”). The syndicate of underwriters was led by TD Securities Inc., BMO Capital Markets and CIBC Capital Markets, as joint bookrunners.
The net proceeds of this Offering were added to the Bank’s general funds and will be used for general corporate purposes and will qualify as common equity tier 1 capital for the Bank.
The Common Shares were issued pursuant to a prospectus supplement dated January 9, 2018 to the Bank’s short form base shelf prospectus dated December 20, 2016.
