Louise St-Pierre recognized as one of Canada’s most powerful women – Cogeco Cable Canada’s top executive is a WXN 2015 Top 100 Award Winner

MONTREAL, Nov. 25, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ – Cogeco Cable Canada is proud to announce that President and Chief Executive Officer Louise St-Pierre has been named a Women’s Executive Network (WXN) 2015 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award Winner. This prestigious distinction celebrates the incredible accomplishments of Canada’s top female executive talent as well as their organizations and networks. Louise St-Pierre will be honoured in the Scotiabank Corporate Executives category during a gala celebration at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on November 26. This award recognizes women who hold senior positions in Canada’s publicly-traded and privately owned companies.

Louise St-Pierre was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Cogeco Cable Canada in 2013. She is responsible for managing Cogeco Cable Canada, the second largest cable operator in Ontario and Québec in terms of the number of basic cable service customers served. Since then, she has had a profound impact on the organization and has delivered stellar results: a compound increase in revenues, higher profitability and enhanced visibility for the company. Under her supervision, the Cogeco Cable Canada call centre has won five prestigious international SQM Awards in the past six years.

The Top 100 Awards serve to recognize talented leaders in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors and to inspire the current and next generation to push the boundaries of what’s possible. Louise St-Pierre joins a prestigious community of past Award Winners.

About Louise St-Pierre

Before being appointed to her current position in 2013, Louise St-Pierre held a number of vice president positions in the information technology, customer service and operations sectors within Cogeco Cable Inc., including Senior Vice President, Residential Services, from 2009 to 2013, Vice President, Customer Service and Operations, between 2007 and 2009, as well as Vice President and Chief Information Officer from 1999 to 2007.

Before joining Cogeco Cable Inc., she worked in consulting services in Québec, New Brunswick and Alberta, for DMR, after beginning her career at IBM Canada.

She has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Domaine Forget in Charlevoix since 2012. She sat on the Board of Directors of the Orchestre symphonique de Trois-Rivières from 2011 to 2015, on the Board of the Burlington Economic Development Corporation (BEDC), from 2011 to 2014, and on the Board of Canadian Women in Communications between 2003 and 2007.

She received the Leadership Excellence Award from Canadian Women in Communications in 2012, and the Mercure Germaine-Gibara Award from the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec (FCCQ) in 2014, in recognition of her contributions as an outstanding businesswoman. Ms. St-Pierre holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Marketing from McGill University, Québec.
