Mr. Toscano is a professional engineer with over 25 years of experience in project management, process engineering, and mine design and operations. Since March 2016, Mr. Toscano has been employed by Alamos Gold Inc. as Director of Projects. In this capacity he has had overall responsibility for the development of the Lynn Lake Gold Project in Manitoba, in addition to providing project-level management and engineering support to the Island Gold Mine and the Young-Davidson Gold Mine, both in Ontario. Between 2014 and 2016 Mr. Toscano was employed by Ausenco Engineering as Director, Technical Solutions responsible for management of the Toronto-based Ausenco engineering team and office. Between 2012 and 2014 he served as Director, Engineering for Rainy River Resources Ltd. and then subsequently New Gold Inc., with responsibility for plant site and process engineering at the Rainy River Gold Project in Fort Frances, Ontario. Between 2005 and 2012, Mr. Toscano was employed by SNC Lavalin Inc. in Toronto, as Director, Process, during which time he was involved in multiple Canadian and International mining projects across a range of commodities. Mr. Toscano holds a Master of Applied Science (Material Sciences) from the University of Toronto (2001) and a Bachelor of Engineering (Metallurgy) from McGill University (1995).
