VANCOUVER, BC–(Marketwired – May 11, 2016) –
MediaValet Inc. (TSX VENTURE: MVP), a leading provider of cloud-based digital asset management software (DAMS), is pleased to announce full integration with Microsoft’s cloud-based productivity suite, Office 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. This integration helps to singlehandedly eliminate the barriers that currently prevent organizations — as a whole — from easily accessing and utilizing their corporate marketing and communication material.
Today, with the launch of the Office 365 enabled version of MediaValet, staff, partners and vendors of an organization can quickly and easily access, search and attach or insert corporately approved photos, videos, logos, animations, audio files, documents, presentations and other corporate marketing and communications material (Content or Brand Assets) directly from inside Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Now, users can work directly from within Office 365, while marketing teams will be able to control access and use of Brand Assets from their MediaValet portal. Prior to this integration, users would have to exit Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint to either contact their marketing department to request the sizes and formats of the Brand Assets they required or search for them themselves on their local area network or brand portal.
This integration completely remaps traditional content pathways within organizations, delivering Brand Assets to every user’s fingertips — when and where they need them.
“At Microsoft, we’re committed to providing best-in-class platforms and productivity services and to do so we depend on technology partners to integrate their innovative solutions into our experiences,”
said Mary-Ellen Anderson, VP Developer Experience and Evangelism, Microsoft Canada. “By incorporating their Azure-based digital asset management solution into integration of Office 365 productivity suite, MediaValet has made it easier for organizations, and their entire staff, around the Globe to access their brand assets — in turn helping their teams and partners achieve more in a mobile-first, cloud-first world.”
This past March, Microsoft reported there are now 1.2 billion users worldwide of Office products and over 60 million monthly active Office 365 commercial customers. This integration into Office 365 signals MediaValet’s and Microsoft’s commitment to empower the tens of millions of business users around the world by creating secure enterprise ecosystems that connect productivity and marketing technologies.
“From the beginning, the benefits of digital asset management systems have been the sole domain of marketing teams — today that changes,” commented David MacLaren, founder and CEO of MediaValet. “Today, we make it possible for marketing teams to extend those benefits to all staff, partners, and vendors within their organization’s ecosystems.”
