Mercury Systems Receives $6.4M in RF Microelectronics Orders for Advanced Airborne Electronic Warfare Application

ANDOVER, Mass., Jan. 08, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Mercury Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MRCY, www.mrcy.com), announced it received $6.4 million in follow-on orders from a leading defense prime contractor for advanced radio frequency (RF) subsystems that are integrated into an airborne electronic warfare (EW) system. The orders were booked in the Company’s fiscal 2019 second quarter and are expected to be shipped over the next several quarters.

Mercury’s broad portfolio of SWaP-optimized RF and microwave solutions include high frequency amplifiers, filters, integrated microwave assemblies (IMA) and precision-engineered subsystems ruggedized for unpredictable, harsh operating environments. All of the Company’s RF and microwave solutions are designed and manufactured in scalable Advanced Microelectronics Centers (AMC) located throughout the United States. This modular capability allows Mercury to complete the design phase of new product development at an AMC location in closest proximity to the customer, thereby accelerating time to market. To seamlessly support the transition from new product introduction through high-volume production, the production resources of all three AMC facilities can be simultaneously leveraged to assure on-time delivery of high-quality, affordable product.

“As a forward-looking supplier of sophisticated RF microelectronics for the most advanced EW applications, we are honored to receive these follow-on orders from our valued customer,” said Ken Hermanny, Director and General Manager of Mercury’s RF and Microwave group. “Our best-in-class RF engineering team, coupled with our scalable AMC infrastructure, is well-positioned to continue delivering affordable EW solutions to enable the U.S. warfighter to maintain an authoritative position on the ground, at sea and in the air.”
