Mullen Group Ltd. (TSX:MTL) (“Mullen Group” and/or the “Corporation“) announced today that it has closed its previously announced bought deal offering (the “Offering“). The Corporation, through a syndicate of underwriters (the “Underwriters“) led by TD Securities Inc., issued a total of 11,241,250 common shares (“Shares“) (including 1,466,250 Shares issued upon full exercise of the over-allotment option granted to the Underwriters) at a price of $13.30 per Share for gross proceeds of approximately $149.0 million.
The Corporation also announced today that is has closed its previously announced non-brokered private placement (the “Private Placement“). Certain members of the Mullen family and certain directors, officers, and employees of Mullen Group participated in the Private Placement by purchasing a total of 752,000 Shares at a price of $13.30 per Share for proceeds of approximately $10.0 million.
The net proceeds from the Offering and the Private Placement will be used to temporarily repay bank indebtedness, to transact on potential strategic acquisitions, to support future growth initiatives and for general corporate purposes.
