MONACO, Nov. 13, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — In connection with the proposed listing of Navios Containers Inc. (“Navios Containers” or the “Company”) on the NASDAQ Global Select market as set forth in the registration statement on Form F-1 filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Navios Maritime Partners L.P. (“Navios Partners”) announced a distribution of approximately 2.5% of the outstanding equity of Navios Containers to the unitholders of Navios Partners as of the record date set forth below.
Following the distribution, Navios Partners will own approximately 33.5% of the equity in Navios Containers. Approximately 855,050 shares of common equity of Navios Containers will be distributed by Navios Partners to its unitholders, with the actual number of shares of common equity distributed depending on the number of units of Navios Partners that are issued and outstanding on the record date.
The record date for the unitholders entitled to the distribution will be November 23, 2018 and the distribution is expected to occur on or about December 3, 2018.
The Navios Containers equity may not be distributed before the Navios Containers’ registration statement on Form F-1 has been declared effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
