Perisson Closes the Ribstone and Success Property Acquisition

CALGARY, ALBERTA–(Marketwired – Sept. 30, 2016) – Perisson Petroleum Corporation (“Perisson” or the “Company”) (TSX VENTURE:POG) is pleased to announce that it has closed the purchase of the previously announced acquisition of the Ribstone property located in east central Alberta, and the Success property in southwest Saskatchewan.

Perisson intends to conduct an evaluation of the opportunities identified by the Vendor to drill up to 10 McLaren and 8 Sparky oil wells which have been identified by the Vendor on the Ribstone property. The Alberta Energy Regulator has assigned 6 million barrels of oil in place to the Ribstone pool and, to date, only 5% of this oil has been recovered. Oil has also been produced from the Sparky zone which occurs 60 to 80 meters below the McLaren zone in some of the wells adjacent to the Ribstone property.

Perisson will be the operator of the properties and intends to improve the operating efficiencies of the existing wells at Ribstone by recompleting one of the existing oil wells, and converting another well to provide onsite water disposal and reduce the current operating expenses.

We continue to implement our strategy to pursue the purchase of oil weighted properties in western Canada. Perisson intends to accelerate its efforts to identify acquisition and development opportunities to accretively grow the Corporation for our shareholders’ long term success.

Barrel (“bbl”) of oil equivalent (“boe”) amounts may be misleading particularly if used in isolation. All boe conversions in this report are calculated using a conversion of six thousand cubic feet of natural gas to one equivalent barrel of oil (6 mcf=1 bbl) and is based on an energy conversion method primarily applicable at the burner tip and does not represent a value equivalency at the well head.
