Quinsam Reports Q1/2016 Financial Results

Quinsam Capital Corporation (CSE:QCA) (“Quinsam” or the “Company“) today released unaudited financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2016 and provided investors with an update on recent developments.

Q1/2016 Results

Quinsam reported a net loss of $25,863 in Q1/2016 ($0.00 per share) versus a profit of $167,050 in Q1/2015 ($0.01 per share). The quarterly loss included a non-cash expense of a little over $10,000 for share-based compensation expense.

Update on Recent Events

“Market conditions stabilized in the quarter and our results are reflective of those conditions,” said Roger Dent, CEO of Quinsam. “Resource stocks did well in Q1 but our exposure to the resource sector was not high.”

“We see the current investment environment as being positive. While sentiment remains cautious in the small cap sector, we think this is an environment where companies reporting positive developments can get recognition by investors.”

Stock Buyback Program

In Q1/2016, Quinsam acquired 30,000 shares at a cost of $2,400 pursuant to its normal course issuer bid to purchase up to 1,320,383 of its common shares (the “Bid”).
