Saturday, December 19th, 2015 is shaping up to be the busiest travel day of the holiday season

TORONTO, Dec. 10, 2015 /CNW/ – According to Expedia.caTM, Canada’s leading full-service online travel provider, the busiest day of travel during this holiday season is expected to be Saturday, December 19th, 2015, based on flight demand on Expedia.ca as of November 27th, 2015, between the travel period of December 17th and January 6th. Nearly 1.3 million passengers are expected to travel through Toronto Pearson International Airport from December 15-25th, 2015.

Some Canadians will travel to be with friends and family, while others will look to escape the cold weather. Popular international destinations for the holiday season are mostly in warmer locations. Based on Expedia.ca bookings, the top international destinations for Canadians this holiday season include Cancun, Miami, Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Honolulu, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and Mexico City.
