TORONTO, ON–(Marketwired – June 27, 2017) – Slate Retail REIT (TSX: SRT.U) (TSX: SRT.UN) (the “REIT”), an owner and operator of U.S. grocery-anchored real estate, announced today that it has entered into a binding agreement to acquire Battleground Village (the “Property”) for U.S. $14.43 million ($191 per square foot). The Property is 98% occupied, is Earth Fare-anchored and is located in the Greensboro-High Point Metropolitan Statistical Area. Closing is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2017 and remains subject to customary closing conditions.
