Stacy Cozad to Join Spirit AeroSystems as General Counsel

WICHITA, Kan., Dec. 8, 2015 /CNW/ — Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. (NYSE: SPR) announced today Stacy Cozad will join the company Jan. 4, 2016, as senior vice president and general counsel, reporting to Larry Lawson, president and chief executive officer.

Cozad brings deep experience in commercial aerospace and corporate litigation, having held leadership positions of increasing responsibility at Southwest Airlines since 2006. She served most recently as Southwest’s associate general counsel for litigation, overseeing all litigation for the airline. Prior to Southwest, Cozad was an associate and partner in private law practices, working on high-profile litigation cases. As Spirit’s general counsel, Cozad will have responsibility for oversight of all legal matters across the global enterprise.

Cozad earned a bachelor of arts in behavioral science from Concordia University Texas and her juris doctor from Pepperdine University.
