(TSX VENTURE:SPX) (“Stellar” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that Stellar has hired M. Pierre Trudel, Ph.D., P.Eng, Geological Engineer as a Special Advisor and Qualified Person. Dr. Trudel will advise the Company in future strategic development. Dr. Trudel have been continuously involved since 2008 in the development of the Balandougou Project in Guinea and his understanding and structural comprehension of the Balandougou oxide gold structures will be very valuable.
Dr. Pierre Trudel is a geological engineer with more than 40 years of experience in exploration and exploitation of mineral deposits. From 1990 to 2015, he was a Project Manager for the Mining and Metals Division of AECOM Consultants Inc. During those years, he has acquired a solid international experience in managing exploration projects in Algeria, Benin, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Haiti, Jamaica, Peru and Kazakhstan. Dr. Trudel has also developed a strong expertise in all fields of exploration and mining of mineral deposits as well as of mineral reserves and resources calculation and feasibility studies of all sizes of mining projects.
The Company also wishes to inform shareholders that the planning of the 15,000 tons bulk samples of the B3 gold structures of the Balandougou project in progressing according to schedule.
As declared, the primary objective of the test work program is to investigate the amenability of the B3 oxide ore to gold extraction using gravity separation as the sole means of gold recovery. Gravity separation is the most environmental friendly gold extraction method as no chemical are used in the process of gold recuperation. It is also the most economical solution for processing of surface oxide deposits.
Stellar has retained the expertise of the Company XKJ SOLUTION, a branch of Henan Xingyank Mining Machinery Manufactory of China for the conception of a 15 tons per hour Pilot Plant to process the bulk sample. The fine tuning of the pilot plant before ordering will be done according to the results of the ore characterisation test that will be done at SGS Laboratory of Bamako in Mali.
Excavation of the 15,000 tons of surface material will be contracted to a local company at an approximate cost of US$3.00 per ton.
