Sunworks Names Valarie Serrato Vice President of Residential Business

Strong Operational Leader with a Foundation in Construction and Project Management to Lead Sunworks’ Residential Operations

ROSEVILLE, Calif., Dec. 20, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Sunworks, Inc. (Nasdaq: SUNW), a provider of solar power solutions for agriculture, commercial and industrial (ACI), public works and residential markets, today announced that Ms. Valarie Serrato has been named as Vice President, Residential Business effective immediately. Ms. Serrato, a former COO at Petersen Dean Roofing / Solar4America, is a strong leader with more than 20 years of experience in construction and project management and a proven track record of successfully managing, developing and growing business in high-performing organizations.

In her position at Sunworks, Ms. Serrato will be an integral part of the executive leadership team and will lead all aspects of the company’s residential business, including sales and new business development strategy, day-to-day operations, customer project management and on-going support.

Most recently, Ms. Serrato served as the Owner and Executive Partner of Red Monkey Consulting, a change management consulting firm that advises on strategy execution, project leadership, change management and business practice management to help its clients best align its resources for the greatest impact. Prior to that, she served as chief operating officer of Petersen Dean Roofing and Solar4America where she developed and managed corporate strategies, business development and multiple company entities to expand the company into new markets and diversify its revenue streams driving exponential growth over a three-year period. Prior to Petersen Dean, Ms. Serrato served as a Project Manager at Clark Builders Group where she worked in partnership with branches of the U.S. military and Clark Realty Capital to develop and construct military, single-family housing communities. The project included demolishing existing homes and building 2,800 new construction, renovated and remodeled homes, recreation centers, ball fields and playgrounds. Prior to that, Serrato worked for D.R. Horton / Western Pacific Housing where she served as a project analyst, purchasing assistant and construction coordinator for the daily management of community construction projects.
