Trinidad Drilling Ltd. (TSX:TDG) (“Trinidad” or the “Company”) announced today the appointment of Nancy Laird to its Board of Directors. The appointment is effective June 22, 2016 and expands the Board to seven directors, six of whom are independent.
Ms. Laird is a corporate director with more than 30 years of experience in the energy industry. She has held senior positions in several major energy companies and has a diverse background in managing energy trading and marketing, midstream assets, information technology and environmental portfolios. Ms. Laird served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Midstream for Encana Corporation and PanCanadian Energy Corporation, a predecessor of Encana, from 1997 until 2002. She serves as a director of Keyera Corp., Business Development Bank of Canada, Synodon Inc., as well as private company FilterBoxx Water and Environmental Corp. and various not-for-profit organizations. Previous boards include Alter NRG Corp., Enerflex Systems Income Fund, Canetic Resources Trust, Canadian Oil Sands Trust and Alliance Pipeline.
