MONTREAL, QUEBEC–(Marketwired – Nov. 2, 2017) – WSP Global Inc. (TSX:WSP) (“WSP” or the “Corporation”) is pleased to announce that at the Extraordinary General Meeting of UEM Edgenta Berhad (KLSE:EDGENTA) (“UEM Edgenta”) held on November 2, a majority of its shareholders have approved the sale of UEM Edgenta’s 61.2% stake in Opus International Consultants Limited (NZSE:OIC) (“OIC”) to WSP.
The number of OIC shares either under lock up agreements or already tendered as part of WSP’s offer now amounts to 88.95%. WSP’s offer remains open for acceptance until 11:59 pm on November 27, 2017, unless extended. Once WSP holds or controls 90% or more of the shares of OIC, it will exercise its statutory right to compulsory acquire the remaining shares.
